Since your refrigerator is one of your top electricty users in your household (#1 is likely your water heater), always keep the coils and airway to the compressor clean.

Pull your fridge out and vacume the back if the coils are there, or if you have a hidden compressor, make sure the fan and airflow area on the bottom of the fridge are cleaned.  There is usually a vent in the front of the fridge at the bottom that you can pop off pretty easily.  Clean the lint that has built up there.

    Do this every 6 months.

Wolf says : Great solution!  My grandma would be proud of this one...she always said cleaning was good, but who knew it would save you money and help the environment?
